Yonathan Shimron, DNP, BSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Yonathan Shimron is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and extensive training in psychiatric assessment, medication management, crisis intervention, and evidence-based behavioral healthcare.

With a background that combines biology, psychology, nursing, and advanced psychiatric practice, Dr. Shimron brings a comprehensive understanding of the connection between brain function, emotional well-being, and overall health. His clinical experience includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, substance use disorder treatment, acute behavioral health management, and collaborative treatment planning for pediatric and adult populations.

Dr. Shimron specializes in psychiatric evaluations, differential diagnosis, psychopharmacology, suicide risk assessment, trauma-informed care, and personalized treatment planning. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that considers each patient’s unique experiences, goals, and needs.

His clinical training includes advanced psychiatric rotations in outpatient and inpatient settings, where he gained experience supporting individuals facing conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, behavioral health crises, and substance-related concerns.

Dr. Shimron earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Rutgers University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University, along with dual undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Biology from Montclair State University. He is licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New Jersey and New York and is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
